Compersion is a positive emotional response to a loved one's other relationship(s). Often described as the opposite of jealousy, it is not often our first (or second or third) response when our partner(s) begin new relationships, but it can be developed and cultivated. In this workshop, a traditional Buddhist meditation called the Metta Bhavana will form the basis for our practice of developing kindness towards ourselves, our partner(s), and those for whom we interact in our multi-faceted lives. Participants need not be in a current relationship, everyone is welcome to attend. Buddhist principles will be discussed in relation to the meditation and concepts, but one does not need to be a Buddhist to practice this.
A practitioner of Japanese styles of shiatsu and acupressure for over 20 years, -Iya- will share her love of body work that spans from deeply pleasurable and relaxing to vigorous, rough and downright painful. You will learn techniques for a basic therapeutic massage with a sadistic twist -it will hurt, but it's good for you! Using thumbs, fingers, fists, elbows, knees and feet this will be a whole body experience bringing SM pleasure to the giver and receiver. Safety issues and basic anatomy will be included. Variations using rope for added leverage will be demonstrated. Being partnered for the class allows for practice of the techniques, if not, time will be allotted at the beginning for possible partnering.
For thousands of years, and perhaps longer, spanking has been a part of human
history. It transcends kink, finding itself in movies and vanilla bedrooms. Spanking has
even been written about in cosmo, although thatâ??s no shocker.
It has been proven to increase blood flow to the buttocks and by proxy the
genitals, heightening arousal. It is arguably, the best way to have an intimate connection
of flesh on flesh in the S&M world.
This class will open up the world of spanking to you, teach you to conquer the
moon and the mind. It will focus on the bare handed beating of the buttocks, without
forgetting the brain and the body as tools for a bewildering time. Count with me, and
enjoy.
The capacity for dominance exists in nearly everyone, diminish that number for
those who have the desire to be dominant, and then still fewer do it well. If you have the
desire, the capacity exists, take this opportunity to learn some of tools to do it well.
Explore your capacity for dominance  you will be guided through a series of
group exercises, partner playtime and confidence building activities. This class is
designed for aspiring dominants, but is open to everyone. Prepare to build your
repertoire of dominant techniques, and start a collection of the best mental toys you will
ever have, ever need, and always use.
Starting out with a single tail can be an intimidating prospect. A good single tail is relatively expensive, takes knowledge to select, can take some time and effort to master and is commonly thought to be a very intense toy. All of these aspects can make the first experiences with a single tail difficult to come to terms with. I hope, through sharing my knowledge and skill, to remove some of the difficulty of, practicing with and using a single tail for the first time.
This presentation will take folks through all the major milestones in learning about single tails.
Topics will include: Whip selection and care, Safety issues associated with single tails, Some simple and basic throwing techniques, and practice and play strategies
C/NC play is an intense play style in which consent is given at the start of the scene, but continuous consent is not required during the scene. Acceptance is expected and sought when the scene is complete. Consent, Non-consent, Acceptance.
At least this is the simple explanation. What happens before, during and after a scene can be complex. I hope to share information and techniques based on my experience and knowledge that will make you comfortable exploring this type of play.
We will talk about some aspects of C/NC play that we have found useful to understand. It will be a workshop from both the tops and the bottoms viewpoint.
Among these are: Defining what C/NC play is and is not, Discussion of types of activities in C/NC play, The need for and methods to establish and maintain trust, Physical, emotional and psychological reactions that may be encountered in C/NC play, The shared responsibility of both partners in C/NC play.
The presentation will have a demonstration of a C/NC scene. It will be a real interaction between my play partner and I. It is usually very intense, so please be prepared. It is not my intent to shock or upset but it is an intense subject and activity.
We will finish with a specific question and answer period, although questions are encouraged throughout the presentation.
Electrical play is often one of the first things on a personâ??s hard limit list. I can understand why. We associate it with intense torture scenes in movies or real-life memories of being shocked by a household appliance. It has an indefinable ability to make us scream in agony.
Not only is electrical play scary, it can seem complicated. Some fairly complex devices are involved. Pushing a button or twisting a knob can seem far removed from the forceful physical action usually associated with SM scenes. It is about manipulating human physiology in a fairly intricate manner to produce pain. Understanding how electricity works and how it affects the body will allow you to apply it to your SM play in more diverse and creative ways and create more intense levels of pain.
Gee, why would a sadist want to use it? â?º
This workshop will be about using electricity for intense SM. It will be about making it hurt.
It will include: A demonstration scene; Brief discussion of some simple concepts of electricity and their relation to SM play; Discussion and demonstration of: Common and not so common electrical gadgetry, Making a simple human circuit, Making more complex human circuits, A few easy ways to make it hurt more, and Simple but important ways to be safe.
The use of single tail whips requires a diverse spectrum of techniques and skills. A person can practice for a few hours and gain enough skill to use a small whip safely and effectively or they can spend years mastering more difficult whips and techniques, accessing a wide range of sensations available to the skilled practitioner.
This presentation will take the more experienced player to the next level.
Workshop topics include: Choosing an appropriate whip for you style and desired play activities, Sophisticated throwing techniques and practice strategies, Crafting a physically and mentally powerful experience; Participants will also explore partner positioning and whip dynamics in order to create their own techniques and uses in SM play.
Participants will need to supply their own single tail.
Caring for our boots is paramount to honoring the traditions of the leather lifestyle and honoring the respect we have for ourselves. Caring for our boots correctly will help make them last, hopefully forever. Some people care for boots and leather in service, some do as part of their rituals and others find it erotic and passionate. No matter why you are looking to care for boots â?? first you have to learn how. Come learn how to get started identifying, cleaning and caring for the leather and other parts your boots. Learn about the differences in the leather, the products we use on them, and why. Bring some boots along and ask questions.
Sharing our talents in a scene with one another is great. Sharing those leftover dirty parts of our toys from our last play session? Yeahâ?¦ not so great!
Whether itâ??s in your closet or your toy bag, we all have something that we shouldnâ??t shove into the washer and dryer. Before you dip you cuffs boiling water or try to autoclave your evil sticks â?? perhaps we should talkâ?¦ Leather, Latex, Rubber and more â?? Weâ??ll talk about how each of these is different, the challenges each one presents and how best to handle each one.
We will work on 2 or 3 different ways of tying rope to completely cover and squeeze a body. We'll work on ways of adding structure to the rope so that it does what corsets traditionally do, i.e. squeeze in the some places, support in others. We will explore the tools you need to design a number of different corsets to fit a number of different body types. Although corsets are traditionally worn around the torso, this technique can be modified for multiple parts of the body (or even two bodies if you get creative).
This class does NOT require a rope bottom nor does not require experience. We will be doing most of our work tying rope around our own thighs. Your own thighs are just easier and they don't wiggle when you tickle them (usually).
In most rope work the resulting ties are pretty much symetrical, if you do something to one side, you repeat on the other side. In most rope work you pretty much know where you are going and, for the most part, know what the tie will look like before you tie it. They are the ties you practice and are a part of your "rope arsenal".
This class uses none of that. This class is about improvisation. We will start with the rope secured in different places and then see where it takes us. Participants will be invited to tie wrists, arms, torsos, legs, ankles to each other in creative ways using two simple hitches, the munter hitch and the cow hitch. Participants will be invited to pick a direction and see where the rope goes and where you and your rope bottom take it. We will start with a guided tie and then each participant will set out on their own. We will discuss different techniques that make these basic ties work and not work, rope tension, anchoring, reversing direction, etc.
Do you like the feel of rope on your skin? Do you like the excitement of wearing rope to work, school, family gatherings or other vanilla settings? Do want to require your rope bottom to wear a rope reminder of their submission? This class is for you! We will talk about whatâ??s possible to conceal and how to conceal it. Included: chest harness, hip harness, karada, some microbondage, simple corsets and rope wrapping. We will also talk about rope diameter and texture and how that can add to the experience.
There are many reasons to tie someone up: sex, control, restraints, suspension. This class is about simple techniques to make your rope work "pretty". We will discuss how to be attentive to the way your rope and knots lay. We will discuss weaving, finishing, and some decorative knots. We incorporate the techniques we discuss into the Chest Harness but show how these techniques can be incorporated into to any tie. Class participants will be encouraged to develop their own artistic style to their rope work and exchange ideas.
Have you always thought of caning as harsh, brutal and extremely painful? It can be but it doesn't have to be.
In this class you will see a more sensual side of caning that just might change canes from the most feared to the most beloved instruments in your toy bag...and leaves bottoms begging for more!
You will learn: what defines a cane, different types of canes, and styles of caning
There will be a caning demonstration illustrating how to use a variety of strokes in rhythmic ways to provide your bottom with a caning experience ranging from sensual to intense.
The qualities of Rattan will be discussed in detail and youâ??ll have the opportunity to make-and-take a rattan cane of your own!
Anyone who wants to will have a chance to practice the demonstrated rhythm caning techniques in this lecture/demonstration/DIY experience!
This class will be useful for all bottoms and switches-who-bottom, whether you are new to the scene or have been around a while. Being a bottom can be challenging. We will talk about ways of improving your chances of getting play, how to have better play, finding partners, and how to look after ourselves as we splash around in the big kinky pond. While we will be focusing on bottoming, we will also touch on strategies and self-care for submissives looking for SM play.
Tie 'em and beat 'em, rope 'em and rough 'em - or is there something more you can do to your partner? Join us as we explore the spectrum of spanking from sensual to sadistic. Novice or jaded, there is always something tantalizing about a bare bottom spanking. This workshop will give you a chance to build on your skills from basic to advanced. The use of positioning, technique and setting the scene will be covered. There will be a demo as part of the class.
It's time to crack those whips in The Bullwhip Lounge. Bring your short single tails, 5' or less, for hands-on instruction in the safe use of your whip. If you already know the basics, come and practice, or get some tips from some the best whip artists in New England. If you've never cracked a whip we can teach you the basic Archers crack in just a few minutes, and then show you how to build on that. With a little practice, you'll be able to craft a great whip scene from start to finish. Don't have your own whip yet? Come to the Bullwhip Lounge anyway, we have a few extras.

The other half will be actual hands on experience either being a pet, watching pets play, or being a handler. Come join us and explore your pet!
Every student will spend this class with rope in their hands, and leave being able to tie a single and double column tie. Through easy step Âby Âstep presentation and drills, Giotto will teach Giotto's Better Boola, or as he puts it '90% of everything you needed to know about rope bondage.' Safety considerations of this tie and rope bondage in general will be addressed.
There will be very little time in this class spent just sitting and listening to Giotto lecture.
Expect to keep your hands busy through most of the class. Students will learn by doing.
His assistant will provide one on one help as needed. Giotto teaches this class with passion and humor. Every great tie starts with good fundamentals.

This class is not for the faint of heart. Bandannas are one of the most vicious toys in Giottoâ??s bag. This is a hands on class. Giotto has a large collection of bandannas to loan or students can bring their own.

A classic component of Japanese style bondage, bamboo is not just for looks. This class will explore and teach the many ways that bamboo can be incorporated into rope scenes. Learn the types of lashings that securely bind the bottom to the bamboo, explore how to use the mechanical advantage of bamboo and rope together to easily move and torture your bottom. See tips and tricks of how to use bamboo safely for anything from floor work to predicaments and suspensions. Students will be provided the necessary bamboo.
There are always new people coming into the rope scene, they are eager to learn and anxious to get into the fun. There are also those who have been tying for some time but may have never actually been taught the finer points of safety for bondage and suspension. This class is for everyone who picks up a rope with the intention of putting it on someone. Just in our own local kink community recently there have been incidents of unsafe suspensions or ties. Knowledge is power and having the information that this class provides will give you the power to rig safely and help spot things that are not ok.
Just a few of the things being taught:
Hardpoints, gear, environment, problem solving, risk factors, line handling and communication. Each of these topics are examined in detail with examples and handouts provided to help everyone retain the knowledge.
A brief overview of the history, discussion of safety and health issues, an introduction of techniques and the comparison between older violet wand technologies and techniques and the more modern ones in use today. This class also presents an opportunity for participants to experience the sensations of the violet wand, including direct and indirect contact. This is a hands-on as well a discussion based class. A two and a half page handout is offered to all attendees, this handout contains information on basic safety as well as a list of common FAQ's.
Advanced violet wand class may include the following topics: a brief overview of the safety necessary for the violet wand, using the violet wand along with conductive rope and Shibari techniques, which provides a way to bring predicament bondage into the play, use of the violet wand for temporary branding, and fire play. Fire play with violet wand is an interesting way to bring fire play into venues where traditional fire play is not allowed. Fire play with the violet wand can be both relaxing and sadistic. The advanced class also covers skin care and after care for that type of play.
When you think of suspension, you probably automatically think of rope. Rope is excellent, for sure. But there is more than one way to get your gravity-defying kink on! Pallet wrap bondage is a versatile option to rope suspension, with the potential for super-fluffy-floaty comfort to â??are-you-effinâ??-kiddinâ??-me?â?? discomfort ...and everything in between!
In this entertaining demonstration you'll see how, with these techniques, anyone can learn to create plastic spider webs in the woods or hang someone from their favorite suspension frame in cool new ways. You'll enjoy an inside look into the creative mind of this evil genius, as he whips out a unique suspension right before your eyes... because no two demos are ever the same!
Pressure points are a lazy-dom's friend, allowing the control and
pain to be fast-on and fast-off. It allows for the level of pain a
good flogging or caning might produce, with much less effort.
Pressure points are also very up-close, and intimate, so it adds to
the viceral connection between you and your partner. Having a
partner or partners for this class is good, if you aren't bringing
in an existing partnership to the class, arranging for one (or
several) just before, or during the start of class should not be
hard. Please wear clothing that allows comfort and access to the
body. Naked is fine, corset, complex boots, etc are less than
optimal. A "pokey-thingy" anything from an evil stick through a
chop-stick or hotel pen tends to work. If you have a favorite
pokey-toy, please bring it and share with the class!
Most of BDSM play is with the body - your tools are floggers, whips,
impact toys, rope, your own body, and so on. Erotic Hypnosis is
playing with the mind - your tools are inductions, triggers, and
illusions. Learn to enhance top & sub space, play beyond the possible,
explore behavior modification and more. We will look at the whole path
from negotiations through to aftercare, with all the ethical
considerations. We will explore several possible scenarios, come, find
out if this is for you. Please bring a totem or small object that has
significance to you. All levels of participation welcome.
Hojojutsu is the opposite, in many ways, of the nice, happy rope
arts that are taught and practiced by many rope artists. There are
ways to make Hojo bedroom/play acceptable for those who don't want
to potentially damage their partners. Some knowledge of Hojo is
useful to have, for this class. This is not a take-down class.
Canes can bring up all kinds of images, from the harsh and brutal, as is done in Singapore for littering,
to the schoolroom punishment, or Mama reaching for that peach switch hanging by the back door.
They can come in all shapes and sizes, made of all sorts of materials. We will be looking at a variety of
canes and how to use them to the best effect, why it can be used as a focus to bring oneâ??s awareness
to the present moment, how to use it to induce a trance-like state, and as a means of connection.
â?¢ Lecture, discussion, and hands on
â?¢ Partnered: Preferred but not necessary
â?¢ Clothing: Person doing - can move in; Person receiving can have bare skin exposed
This class will focus on wax play that can be done without the use of flames. It will cover safety, types of wax(es), equipment and techniques for applying wax to the body and removal of wax. We will discuss ways people can make wax candles/molds for themselves including dyes.
So much of our play in the lifestyle had to do with impacting the body from the thighs to the breast...what about the neck and the head. This class will focus on the sensations and the pleasure that can be derived by "playing with the head". From sensual touch to safe impact. The class will incorporate things in your play bag as well as items you may not ever think to place there.
This class with deal with the sensations created by foot play. We will discuss the dynamics of submission and dominance with foot play as well as the vast variety of foot fetishism. There are all types of foot play from massage to acts of a more sexual nature and this class will incorporate as much discussion as possible. We will attempt to demonstrate foot fetishism from as many perspectives as possible including a classic male sub perspective as well as a FemmeDom foot fetishists perspective and as many of the areas in between.
Are you new to the kink scene? Do you wonder what's out there? Are you not even sure what the "scene" is? Or maybe you've been around the block and want to get your fundamentals nice and solid.
Then this is the class for you. Expect thorough instruction on the ins an outs of living beyond the vanilla world. Attendence will be taken and tardy students will recieve demerits.
- Headmistress xCette
There are a lot of uninformed and at times silly questions people want to ask about gender, a *whole* lot. What better way to clear things up than by asking you, the audience, some silly questions? This class will cover the basics of gender, sex, and expression while posing tough questions like "Should I bring my flogger to the office?" and "Are you a top or a bottom?". Hopefully by the end of the class you'll better understand what might be important to your partners, how gender can fit in your toy box with the floggers, and how get on to the fun parts without sticking your foot in your mouth.
Few people have suspensions rigs; everyone has a chair. Em wants to empower her students to reconsider the chair as the dynamic and novel bondage device that it truly is. Floorwork can get stale but the addition of a simple piece of household furniture, coupled with familiar ties and techniques, can add a new level of fun to your play. Chairs provide a rigid structure not often found in floorwork, allowing for new opportunities to immobilize and expose your bottom. Em will share modifications to make chair bondage accessible regardless of either partner's flexibility or mobility concerns.
Many classes cover the technical skills required to be a successful rope top and/or bottom. Em's class on connective rope bondage instead, focuses on adding emotional intimacy to a scene. A predominantly hands-on class, Em will share various ways to enhance the bond between top and bottom. From focusing on physical contact to using your rope as a communication tool, this class will offer a number of techniques to enhance the mood of your rope scenes. Em will also cover a variety of non-verbal communication methods (breath, posture, proximity) and offer suggestions for negotiation topics to help ensure an emotionally fulfilling scene for both partners.

Sex play, power exchange, gender expression and more; strap ons and harnesses can be so many things to so many different folks. There is so much out there to choose from that just getting started can be overwhelming.
This class intends to bring the fun into fucking with a harness. We will talk about different kinds of harnesses; and how to choose a dildo (or dildos) to go in it. We will cover negotiating play and sex with new and established partners. Learn what Miss Manners has to say about proper dildo etiquette. Plus all the fun places your strap on can go! Basic anatomy, safety and toy maintenance will also be covered.
Through out class we will be talking about why we want to wear a harness (or why we may want our partner to wear one). What can we learn about ourselves and our partners from this?
Finally we will put on our harnesses and do some down and dirty fucking (more like dry-humping, but whatever). We will practice how to move and learn some great harness friendly positions.
Bring a harness and dildo if you have one, a partner if you have one, and possibly a mat or towel.
Yesâ?¦ you can flog, or use a whip, or a cane. Maybe youâ??re great with needle play or fire play. These are skills that we can quickly pick up, but there is a difference between the use of the implement for a sensation experience, and making the use of a single skill a great scene. This becomes the difference between those who might be able to â??use a floggerâ?? vs. those who â??do a great flogging sceneâ??. All too often in the rush to become â??competentâ?? we lose sight of what separates the student from the master, the ability to create art from the skill. In this class Ramirez will explain how to take a single skill and turn it into a great scene. These concepts will diversify your nature and application of your skill with a single tool to create a lasting impression. In addition to this we will go over new ways to think about your approach and construct to a scene, as well as how to implement psychological aspects into your scene.
This is an introductory class to Florentine flogging. We will be going over drills to learn basic movements and techniques when with one flogger in each hand. We will cover synchronized and split time, forward and reverse spins, as well as throwing on vertical, horizontal and diagonal planes. This class is geared for the newcomer to Florentine style. As this is a technique and practice class, it is recommended that you bring a pair of matched floggers with you, or two different floggers that are close to the same size and weight.
This workshop will discuss the pitfalls and strengths of D/s relationships though Argentine Tango. Dance is often very helpful in teaching and establishing nonverbal communication and connection. The class will focus on teaching and interpreting nonverbal commands and connections within a D/s context. The class uses dance to show with the manâ??s role in the tango as the top/lead and that of the womanâ??s role in the dance as the bottom/follower. Of course if the parties so desire the can reverse the roles. Due to the nature of the class you will need a partner to participate. This class is not gender/or role specific, but each partnership will have to decide who will be top or bottom for the class.
The Yawara is a feudal Japanese nightstick. It has since been replaced by the kubotan. But it is a delightful toy that can easily be implemented into play, and another must have of the more exotic play toys not commonly seen in the dungeon. In this workshop we will be both going over its historical use, and the many fun ways it can be applied in BDSM.
Sexual abuse and intimate partner violence are epidemics that cut across all gender, racial, economic, and cultural lines. As the kink world consists of people, it stands to reason that these issues are in our backyard as well. For kinksters, abuse is a particularly thorny subject, as there are empowering and healthy dynamics that seem abusive to the outside observer.
We will explore how abuse can manifest, how communities and individuals can respond to abuse, and how to promote a culture of transparency and healing.
Participants will leave empowered to be ambassadors of dialogue and change within their communities.
In this Roundtable discussion, Samantha brings her years of experience working with sexual assault and domestic violence survivors to this very important and delicate subject. This is designed to be a safe space where participants learn the basics of how trauma impacts survivors, and ask any burning questions they may have about the intersections of kink and trauma.
Want to create an amazing scene or a lasting BDSM relationship and don't know where to start? Communication is key, and the most important form of communication that should be occurring during the early stages of forming any connection is negotiating what each party wants from the interaction/relationship. Sara Scalper (with assistance from their lovely partner, AJ) will show you how to negotiate for a variety of types of scenes (basic SM, physical edge play, D/s, emotional edge play, etc.) as well as regarding the protocols and minutiae of a potential D/s relationship. Whether you're an old pro or are just dipping your toe into the kink scene, join this class and learn some new ways of communicating your scene and relationship needs!
Many of us have felt immense guilt when we've realized just how much we enjoy hurting people, due to social constructs. Newsflash: enjoying being sadistic is perfectly okay in a safe, ethical, and fully consensual context, and being able to be sadistic doesn't mean you must be cold or lack empathy. A place to discuss some of the difficulties you've have had when embracing your sadistic tendencies as well as to explore why these difficult feelings occur. Explore misconceptions regarding sadism as well as different types of ethical sadism/sadist archetypes. There will also be a "develop your inner sadist" portion where we'll share deviously delicious tips and tricks on ways to cause hurt without causing harm. Note: there will be a section of this class devoted to female-identified or femme-presenting folks who identify as tops/sadists, as they have their own particular struggles in regards to their sadist identities.
What is calibration, you may ask? Well, the dictionary definition is "the act of checking or adjusting the accuracy of an instrument." Applying this concept in a BDSM context in a scene, a top's body (and their implements, an extension of their body) is the instrument. The top can adjust their movements, what implements they use, the intensity of their use, the patterns they are used in, etc. to become more "in tune" with the bottom. This results in a more satisfying scene for all. Toppy folks will learn how to negotiate safely and thoroughly with bottoms, clearly read the communication signals that bottoms give off during a scene, and calibrate their actions resulting in longer and more satisfying scenes. Bottomy folks will learn what to look for when negotiating with a potential top as well as ways to communicate how they're feeling during a scene in order to assist the top in calibration.
Are you curious about what polyamory looks like in different forms? Want to know how to avoid certain pitfalls or challenges? How about tips for being successful from a variety of practitioners....come on over!
Conflict is a part of life, we see it at work, in the media, and within all of our relationships. For some, conflict makes their blood run cold. Social Media sites, such as Fetlife, have added an additional challenge to effective and healthy conflict resolution by allowing people to communicate without face-to-face interaction. We will ease some of our frustration and anxiety about conflict during this class but learning basic counseling techniques to show active listening, respect and appreciation during a conflict. We will learn about destructive communication practices and how you can work rehab yourself and help others to do the same. Attendees will walk away with real life examples and potential solutions to common communication pitfalls that are sure to make navigating the waters of our vibrant community more accessible.
On Fetlife, Ok Cupid and various other social networking sites, creepers are a commonality. They send graphic and unsolicited messages, they don't read profiles, and they make inappropriate assumptions. Many of us can agree on this. However, what about the well-intended folks that might be slightly socially awkward, shy, or otherwise unsure how to not come off as the dreaded "creepy" person. We will investigate questions such as: "how do I get invited to play parties and keep getting invited back?"And "Why do "nice" messages sometimes go unanswered?" During this session, attendees will learn appropriate and respect ways of approaching, negotiating and interacting with fellow kinksters. We will refine our current techniques while having a good laugh over some of this missteps we've all made. In addition we will practice drafting messages that may get a positive response and appropriate munch/non-play party event behavior and how to guide new attendees or yourself into this direction.
Sometimes we get â??wrapped upâ?? with ourselves. Sometimes we prefer to keep our kink â??under wrapsâ??. Sometimes it's a sticky situation and before you know it you're all covered up. At some point you've got to put a wrapper on it.
