KinkyCon follows the State of NH guidelines when it comes to
mask and vax requirements. At this time there are no restrictions for large
group gatherings in NH, and we have adopted their no policy / policy model for
KinkyCon Wicked Weekend 2024.
Here are some additional tips and information on how to
reduce your own risk and the risk of others attending. Thank you to one of our
stellar Dungeon Monitoring crew for permission to post.
Recommendations to make Kinky-Con COVID Safe(r):
Recommend N95/KN95/KF94 masks
Recommend pre-event testing
2 tests, 48 hours apart, before the event (example:
Wednesday and Friday or Thursday and Saturday)
Recommend daily testing at the event
Recommend receiving the new COVID vaccine at least 2 weeks
before the event (November 3rd)
Some helpful tips:
Layering protection measures means greater protection! For
example, having the most recent vaccine AND rapid testing AND wearing a mask is
going to be more effective than each of those on its own.
Harm reduction = any measures are better than no measures!
Some examples:
A cloth or surgical mask will still provide some protection,
if a KN95 mask is not accessible or too uncomfortable for you to enjoy the
event
Wearing a mask only sometimes will still help - prioritize
crowded areas with less air circulation, or activities where it’s less
important for you to be speaking, like when you are an attendee in a class or a
voyeur in the dungeon.
Wastewater data is a good metric to assess community spread,
and can help guide your decision-making for your level of risk. The People’s
CDC publishes a weekly COVID-19 Weather Report.
